My Night-time Skincare Routine
When it comes to skin, I truly believe it comes from within. When I drink a lot of water, eat predominantly plant based and get enough sleep, my skin glows and my pores shrink.
But of course, the way I treat my skin on the outside plays a big role on my skins health. I have tried a lot of different products, but for me personally these ones work best.
For reference, I have sensitive and combination skin, and tend to get oily on my T-zone.
1. Simple Biodegradable Cleansing Wipes
At the end of a shoot, the first thing I do is wipe my face with Simple biodegradable cleansing wipes. There is no better feeling than taking off makeup after an eight-hour day. I love these wipes because they don’t irritate my skin like a lot of other wipes on the market. Another bonus is that these wipes are a more sustainable choice when compared to other brands.
2. Synergie Ultra Cleanse
My second step is to cleanse. I have always preferred a foaming cleanser, I feel like it does a better job at taking off makeup. However, the cleansers I had tried in the past always left my skin feeling tight and dry.
Synergie Ultra Cleanse is a foaming cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry at all. I know it is a higher price point, but I really do believe it’s worth it. My mum always puts into my head that we only get one skin in our life, so we have to look after it – and I couldn’t agree more!
3. Synergie Practitioner Priority B
I have been visiting the Medispa clinic at Dr Zacharia’s clinic in Double Bay for the last year, and was introduced to this product. I honestly swear by this! If you are going to be using only one product, please go for this one. I use this every night before moisturising. It is super lightweight, and can be used on all skin types.
4. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
In 2016, I went to a Kiehl’s event at Splendour in the Grass, and was given a sample of their Ultra Facial Cream in my goodie bag. I remember looking at the thick consistency of the cream, and thinking it was going to cause me to break out. However, I was surprised that it didn’t and have continued to use this product since. This is definitely my favourite moisturiser on the market.
5. Kiehl’s Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask
I have to admit, I am a big fan of Kiehls. Their products just really work for my skin (this is not sponsored at all by the way!). Kiehl’s has such a big range of facemasks and after trying them all through their testers; the Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask is the one is for me.
My skin is often irritated from work. I constantly have make up on, and different products are used on my skin. This mask is perfect at reducing the redness in my skin, and just calming it down.
I honestly swear by all these products. I will follow this routine every night, except for the mask, which I do three times a week.
